Pre-CanSkate/CanSkate
(CanSkate Stages 1-6**)
CanSkate is a dynamic learn-to-skate program that focuses on fun, participation and basic skill development. Based on Sport Canada's long-term athletic development (LTAD) principles, CanSkate centers on physical literacy and the fundamentals needed to take part in any ice sport or to skate as a recreational activity.
This program is lead by NCCP-trained professional coaches and assisted by trained assistants.
You can expect Action, Movement and Fun in this program! Lessons are delivered in a group format. Skaters progress at this own rate and coaches make sessions active using teaching aids, upbeat music and a wide variety of activities that create a motivated environment and promote learning.

A CSA approved hockey helmet, long pants, mittens, warm sweater/jacket and skates are required for this program.

**Skaters who are registering for Stage 5&6 qualify for the Pre-StarSkate Program.
